Are you someone who seeks security or adventure?
Is the security you seek beyond yourself or within yourself?
How about adventure?

I propose that with a sense of security within yourself  –
a trust that you will be able to navigate through the ride of life –
coupled with an adventurous attitude desiring to maximize all that your life can be –
you’ll be able to move past your perceived secure comfort zones into the thrill of truly being alive.

Adventure on….

Do you celebrate your birthday, or the 364 unbirthdays you have?
Are you someone who looks to celebrate little things in life or do you typically celebrate the major milestones?

Celebrating to me is an attitude.

I love to celebrate being alive, being surrounded by love, my birthday and everyone else’s…
I like to celebrate every season, every flower, every changing of a leaf…
Every kiss, every hug, every smile…

Sure I like to celebrate my successes and achievements as well.  However, I don’t wait to only celebrate these things.

When you look to celebrate what is surrounding you in daily life, you’ll see so many wonderful things worth celebrating.
Every day turns into an adventure and a party.

I invite you to start looking for wonders around you to celebrate today!

Like Me

Monday, September 14th, 2015

I know I’m not everyone’s cup of tea.  However, rather than dilute myself so more people might possibly like me, I believe part of my life’s responsibility is to be the truest, most delicious and fully brewed expression of the tea I am!
And I believe in order to do this, I must focus on being someone who I like.

When I was growing up, all I wanted was for everyone else to like me.
It was crushing to me when someone didn’t.
I measured my self-worth according to what I perceived as other people’s opinions of me.

As I’ve lived more life now, I’ve come to recognize that it’s not about having someone else like me.
It’s about liking myself.

In fact, whether someone adores me or can’t stand me, usually doesn’t have much to do with me.
It’s more a reflection of them.

It’s up to me to be the tea I am, brewing into someone I respect, enjoy, and like.
The more I connect to this, the easier it is to accept both the positive and negative responses I get from others.

May you brew into your own best cup of tea!

Labor means work.
We all work in life – regardless of what we do and where we do it.

Yet the point of Labor Day is to take a day of rest.
The balance between work and play is important, no matter how much you love your work, or how much you love your play.

How well do you balance work and play in your life?
What’s one small step you can take today to create a better balance if you’re not satisfied?
