Self-confidence

Monday, February 23rd, 2015

The more we overcome our fears by facing them, the more secure and confident we become in our abilities to navigate life.  The more confident we are, the more successful we will be.

Life is full of challenges.
Often we build things up in our mind so greatly that we paralyze ourselves from being able to take any action.

Yet, the more we take actions and prove that the fear is only in our minds, the greater we can live life with courage and grace, inspiring and building our self-confidence along the way.

The greater our confidence, the more greatness we can achieve, as we can better handle the potential obstacles and disappointments along the way to achieving our goals, without allowing them to stop us from continuing forward.

With self-confidence, anything is possible.
Take action in the face of your fears today!

Rest

Monday, February 16th, 2015

Our world is so focused on what we do, how fast we do it, there is very little time to simply BE.

When we get the opportunity to rest, we often feel guilty, like we ‘should’ be doing something.
Perhaps we feel ‘bored’ because we’re so used to constantly moving from one task to another that we don’t remember how to enjoy a slower pace of not really doing anything.

Rest is not only a gift for your body and mind, it is also a necessity.
Rather than view rest as a luxury, I invite you to recognize the value and importance of true down time, rest and relaxation.

Listen to your mind/heart/body and give yourself rest when any part of your being requires it.  All your ‘doing’ will get done that much more easily, when you allow yourself to relish in rest as well.

Common Courtesy

Tuesday, February 10th, 2015

We all deserve to be treated decently and with respect.
It’s amazing how easy it is to get so caught up in your own life that you forget common courtesy toward others.

Is it really so hard to be kind?
Is it really so difficult to respond to someone whose reached out to you, even if it’s to politely decline their offer?

We all have days where we’re overwhelmed, crazy busy, and feel unable to put the effort into this consideration for another.
However, I propose that this world would be such a kinder, more decent society if we chose to give common courtesy to our fellow human beings.

Whether your friends, your family, acquaintances or strangers, we are all part of the same whole, this Universe.
How you treat another is a reflection of how you’re treating a part of your own self.

Thoughts

Monday, February 2nd, 2015

You don’t have to go everywhere your mind takes you…

Instead, take your mind where you want to go.

What you think about will conjure up feelings inside of you.
Pick what you want to feel, and think about those things that support you in feeling this way.

Want to be happy?  Think thoughts that make you feel happy!
