Speak Sweetly

Monday, October 27th, 2014

Words count and carry power.

It really makes a difference what you say and how you say it.

You could turn someone’s whole day, week, year, life around, with a few well chosen, kind words.
That someone could be you!

I challenge you to speak sweetly, with honesty, to yourself and all those around you…Then witness the endless echoes….

Making things easier

Life can often be hard, difficult, and challenging.
Sometimes only with time can we feel better.
However, I propose that often we make things harder for ourselves than they need to be.

Next time you’re going through a difficult time, ask yourself, what can I do to make things easier for myself right now?
I am not suggesting you don’t go for your goals, or work hard to be your best, or overcome hurt and pain.
I am suggesting that as you do these things, you can make them easier rather than more difficult and stressful.

It all starts with how you treat yourself.
Be kind…in your thoughts, your words, and your actions.
Achieving your best will become much easier this way!

Setting intention is a very powerful tool.
Usually we’ll get what we intend.
However, invariably we also get unintended consequences with it too.

Life is full of yin and yang…One is not good and the other is not bad.

Say yes to the adventure, set your sails in the direction of your desires with your intention, and then embrace all that arrives on your journey.

How do you experience fasting?
Is it punishment?
Is it an opportunity to make amends for past sins?
Is it payment moving forward to bring something positive to you?
Is it cleansing?
Is it purifying?
Is it to attain higher levels of spiritual awakening?

Almost all religions incorporate a component of fasting during the year.
There are clearly benefits for your body from periodic fasting.
There can also be benefits for your soul.

I believe fasting can serve you in whatever way you believe it will.
For me, I see fasting as a way to create emptiness and space within my body and my being.
I see it as a way to experience a hunger for more of what I want in life.
I see it as a way to experience a greater flow of Divine energy through me.

While I cannot say I enjoy fasting, I do appreciate the benefits that an occasional fast can bring when accompanied by positive intentions.
