Home

What does “home” mean to you?

Growing up, my family moved around a lot.  There was never a town I considered my home, nor a particular house.  Home to me meant being together with my parents and siblings.

As you get older, family can evolve to include people other than whom you grew up with.
Community that you connect to and people where you feel completely embraced and allowed to be yourself, or a group where you share a common purpose, can all become your chosen family.  And where you all unite together can feel like being home.

I invite you to think about your definition of home.
To me, it truly is where your heart is.

Investment

Monday, August 18th, 2014

When you’re willing to invest time, effort, money, and energy, you invite your desired results to manifest.  Often this investment will require you to stretch yourself, go beyond your comfort zones, push yourself beyond your routine, and be willing to give up something from money to a favorite television show or some other indulgence, to actually “go the extra mile”.

When you feel resistant to doing something you might like because of the initial investment required by you, know the law of sacrifice is waiting behind the scenes for you to show your commitment.  Once you say yes, you invite the confluence of the Universe to join you in your endeavor.

Every time you are investing from your heart,  have faith that you are doing your part to successfully co-create your desired results.  While the results may not happen as you expect, trust they are going to be as good or better than anything you are hoping for and allow this to fuel your commitment to continue to do your part.

Getting In Your Own Way

Monday, August 11th, 2014

It is easy to do.
Keep yourself down, play small, don’t believe, hide…
Then complain about how nothing good ever happens to you!

Get out of your own way…
Choose to see past perceived limitations…
Step into your light and allow yourself to fearlessly SHINE!

Uncertainty

Monday, August 4th, 2014

Controlling often gives a sense of security among all the uncertainties inherent in life.

You may be in a hurry for this to be over, or that to begin, want answers to this question, solutions to that.  You may think you know exactly how you want everything to turn out.

However, this way of being only makes life harder as it will continually disappoint.
Most things happen their way, not our way.

You cannot control much of life.
You cannot control how others are.

You can control how you are.

Bumps, turns, and speed changes happen:
How are you maintaining your balance?
Are you choosing to remain positive?
Are you staying connected to the support of love in your life?
Are you taking responsibility for yourself — and not taking responsibility for others?
Are you navigating through your fears and finding your faith?
Are you believing in yourself?  This is the ultimate balancing tool.

I invite you to surrender to life’s journey, let go of trying to exercise external control.
Focus on controlling how you experience the ride, make it the best it can be for you.
Being this way, you can live gracefully within your questions and discover all your answers there.
