Your Focus

Monday, June 30th, 2014

It’s really interesting how text messages can be a great reflection of your focus.  Given text carries no intonation or inflection, unless it’s full of emoticons, winks, smiles, or explicit words of love, it’s completely up to the individual to interpret the message with whatever they choose to see.
When you receive a text from someone, do you tend to hear love and positive feelings behind what has been written, or do you tend to assume the person is being rude or uninterested?

This is merely one example of how your focus creates your reality.  Depending upon what you bring to your world, what you see, how you receive, what you believe, will be what you’re looking for, focused on, and invariably, it will appear for you.  We are that powerful.

Usually, your focus is what you feel toward yourself and others.
If you judge, you believe others are judging you.
If you criticize, you believe others are criticizing you.
If you are loving, you believe others are loving you.

It’s your choice what you focus on.  It’s also your choice how you want to experience your “reality”.  I invite you to choose wisely.

Sweat Lodge

Monday, June 23rd, 2014

This past weekend, I experienced my first sweat lodge on the night of the summer solstice.
It was awesome. (Thank you Alicia, and my fellow participants.)

It was purifying for me as an individual, mind body and spirit.  Its impact still revealing itself to me in these subsequent days.

However, my greatest take-away was less about my own experience, and more about the oneness I felt with the other 12 beings who were with me within the womb-like lodge.  I did not know most of the women standing around the fire with me, yet while in the lodge together, I found myself feeling blissful love for each one of them.  It was profound experiencing the souls beyond the personas inside the dark heated sacred space of the lodge versus the external presentations and personalities of each individual women as we circled before and after around the camp fire.

It was a clear reminder that we truly are all one and the same underneath our current individual life expressions.
I do not know these women in their lives today, but I do know their essences as they are one with my own.

Freedom of Expression

Monday, June 16th, 2014

How often do you allow yourself to BE yourself, without judgment, constraint, criticism or inhibition?

What is your true essence?  Do you know it?
What is your unique energy?  Do you feel it?
What is your personal self-expression?  Do you show it?

Does the fear of “what other people will think” stop you from fully expressing yourself?

Be kind to yourself.  Remember, what other people think of you is none of your damn business!
Be fearless and freely be your uniquely beautiful self…

Birthday

Monday, June 9th, 2014

How do you celebrate your birthday?  Do you love it?  Hate it?  What does it mean to you?
Is it simply another day or something special?

It was my birthday this weekend.
I love my birthday – the attention, the celebration, and all the love that flows my way…along with the cake!
When I start to think about how old I am now though, I find myself having mixed feelings…Grateful for the time I’ve had on Earth so far, and yet acutely aware that I am progressing along the bell shape curve of my life’s cycle.

To me, your birthday is an opportunity to:
Celebrate yourself, loving yourself exactly as you are now.
Reflect upon your past and all the rich life experiences woven into your current life’s tapestry.
And contemplate the direction you want to point toward your tomorrow…
Give yourself this present.

Allowing

Monday, June 2nd, 2014

How often do you find yourself frustrated because you feel so close to attaining what you’re reaching for, yet it keeps seeming just out of reach?

When you chase a dog or a child, they tend to run a little further, a little faster.
When you chase a dream, it tends to do the same.

Rather than continuing to “seek” what you desire, I invite you to clarify what you want, move gracefully in the direction of your dreams, and then ALLOW them to arrive to you in Divine and perfect timing.
Trust that you shall receive what you desire, assuming it is for your highest good.
Recognize that most likely it will not show up exactly as you’re expecting it.
Then keep your eyes, mind, and heart open.
Allow what you seek to find you.
