Excitement

Monday, May 20th, 2013

How excited in your life are you currently?

Having things you look forward to can inspire you in the present to feel more of the joy in your here and now.  While true bliss can only be experienced in the present, knowing there are things coming your way that you’re excited for can keep your energy uplifted and optimistic.  It can help you tune into the parts of your life that you enjoy.  Since what you focus on is what you grow, this invites more of what you want into your life.

If you’re not looking forward to anything, create something you can be excited for, then return to your current moment with the uplift that the anticipation of good times to come will bring you.

Aim High

Monday, May 13th, 2013

Have you ever stopped to think about what you truly want in your life?

Have you ever evaluated whose voice is speaking your answers?  Is it your own?  Your parents? Your spouse?  Society?

How “realistic” do you keep your goals?

I invite you today to visualize a blank canvas.  Fill it with the most incredible, joyful, fantastical, surreal dreams, goals, and desires that make you excited and giddy with glee.  These are your personal dreams and goals.  This is your possible future.

You are the artist of your own life.  If your picture is dull, boring, uninspired, or not what you desire, paint it over.

See it, believe it, then create it.  Aim high.

The Symptom

Monday, May 6th, 2013

Focus on the cause, not the symptom.

So often in life we focus on what we think is the problem, but really it’s only the symptom of the true issue.  This can allow us to not take responsibility or to not focus where is truly important.

Make sure as you work to improve your life, that you don’t waste your energy trying to fix a symptom because another will invariably appear.  Rather work to fix the underlying cause.  This will take care of the problem and its symptoms.
