Fun

Monday, April 29th, 2013

What do you do for fun?

Would you say you have enough fun in your life?  Fun can be found in laughter with a friend, snuggling with a loved one, whip cream on your coffee, and dancing alone in your bedroom with your favorite song playing out loud.

We live in a world of duality.  We’re not only meant to work, struggle, grow and achieve.  We’re also meant to play, have fun, and rest and relax.

Examine how you balance the different aspects of your life.  Make sure you’re having enough fun!

Courage

What area in your life requires courage?

Courage is a necessity in order to stretch, grow, and expand yourself, as well as to uncover and reveal your true self and then create a life that is in alignment.

Courage does not require the absence of fear, nor is it necessarily a ferocious force propelling you forward.
It is a willingness to go beyond your comfort zones, confront your fears directly, and walk through whatever challenges befall you.

Courage is a trait that promotes perseverence, smart risk-taking, and strength, knowing if your attempt fails, you will get back up and try again, knowing you are that much closer to your attempt succeeding.

Habits

Monday, April 15th, 2013

Human beings are creatures of habit.
Why?
Might we fear change?  Is it how we gain a sense of control and security in life?  Perhaps they keep us on track in our lives?

Most of the actions, thoughts, and feelings we have consistently are habitual.  Some may be positive.  Some may be neither positive or negative.  However, certain habits may not be bringing us the results we want.

You may desire to rid yourself of a “bad” habit, but habits by nature do not simply go away just because we’ve decided we want them too.
It is only through a slow, steady, and vigilant process…a step at a time…that we can usher out the habits that are no longer serve us as we replace them with ones that do.

What habits do you want to escort down the stairs and out of you?
What habits do you want to replace them with?

Self-Expectation

Monday, April 8th, 2013

Have you ever consciously considered what you expect from yourself?

Do you expect yourself to succeed or to fail?
Do you come up with clear visions of what you want to be able to do?
Do you allow yourself to daydream and believe it can come true?

Whatever you expect to happen invariably does.
You look for it…You wait for it…Knowing it will happen, leads you to assume it has and then it does.

Expect the best.

Create clear expectations for yourself of what you want, and then KNOW, it’s not a matter of if but rather when!

Developing the Picture

Monday, April 1st, 2013

One of the most challenging aspects of creating the life you desire is perservering with full faith, despite the apparent obstacles that invariably present themselves along the way.  It is easy to become dissolutioned when things don’t seem to be going in the direction you desire. However, if you allow yourself to fall prey to buying into the belief that your picture of success is not happening for you, then you will be correct and your goal will be impossible to attain.  Yet, if you can see the obstacles you are presented with to overcome, as stepping stones, each one bringing you closer to your ultimate vision of success, then you support yourself in maintaining your vision, along with your faith.  This is the necessary combination for fruition to occur, that will allow you to reach the picture of your dreams.  Trust, it’s not a matter of if, but rather when.  Keep the desired picture of your success vibrant in your mind, continually take the action steps to move toward this picture, and watch it develop into your life.

What is your picture of personal success?
